Team Ireland:Season 25 review

Written by Treaty City CC at 19:13 24/9-2013

Season 25 proved to be a year of transition for Ireland with the team slipping back into Div B and local heros Vance Attwood and Udolf Everly probably seeing their last days in an Ireland kit along with long time stalwards Horace Zeiser and Brian Hare seen less and less in the WT peloton .The new team leaders Dean Sinnott,Giles Kehrwecker,Michael Marsden and Philbert Seaman will be joined by the ever improving Abel Wilken ,Robert Sartin and Ralph Szatkowski.Debut caps are expected for Shelbourne FCCC's Kevin Laursen and TTer Theobold Rippel of Burren Connemara who continue to provide the bulk of young talent to the team.

Although the majority of races ended in disappointment the was a good result for Horace Zeiser with a 4th place in Tabor and an amazing win by Burren Connemara's Simon Mershon on the cobbles of Paris in the CoN
